It’s been a mixed bag of fortunes over the last twelve months for the Global Giant’s Google, as their street view has faced constant controversy and there was a cautious reaction to Google Instant. But today they are on top of the world as they celebrate their 12th birthday.
“Google Birthday” is the top search term in the US at the moment according to Google trends, but not only that, they are topping the trends on Twitter as well. To mark the special occasion, Google has replaced its usual logo with a picture of a birthday cake. The image is called Happy 12th Birthday Google and is by Wayne Thiebaud, the 89-year-old American artist.
